Another Addition to the Family...

Our family felt the need to balance a bit more the boy to girl ratio - so, on Halloween at the door of Nana & Papa Ballard - our little man received a special little Halloween 'treat' whom he immediately named, "Vader".

Our little man is loving having such a wonderful friend around the house! On the other hand, I am asking myself if all the fuss is worth it? Seriously, people kept telling me it would be like having another child; I found that hard to believe. Yet, now, I find myself in complete agreement - although, I might add... I believe children are easier - at least you change diapers instead of finding little 'presents' around the house! Ugh! Each day I am ready to give this puppy away... but then I see the look in our son's eyes when he runs in the door from school.

If I can hang in there... I think they'll be great friends!

we love our Millie, and E really loves her. However she was a nightmare for the first year or longer. She chewed walls and furniture and toys, she pooped, she shed, she ran amouk.
Good luck.

We brought home a puppy in April, he's now 9 months old. I agree children are easier. Our kids love him, Brian and I barely tolerate him. I'm hopeful when the pupppy stage is over it will be better.

Lots of luck!!

I just hope he stays healthy. Our black lab has allergies- which means prescription dog food, extra vet trips, and extra meds. He costs more each month than any of our kids!

BTW- this is Meredith. I posted annon b/c I didn't realize one of my kids was signed in instead of me.

What a cute dog!! Is he a mix?

And, yes, both kids and spouses are easier to raise!

That said we will be joining you soon as our puppy comes home in January! I tell people never to get a puppy while you have a baby. Ooops!

But it SOOOOO worth it!

(PS Consider crate training--Utah never went through that accident stage.)
